Car Tints v. Shades

12/3/2020

Shades or tints? The world has been divided over the two. Which one is better? Which one is more convenient? Which one lasts longer?

The debate between whether to opt for car tinting or shades is eternal. It probably has no right or wrong answer, either. Some prefer the tint, while others prefer the shades. If you are conflicted between the two as well, let us make a simple comparison between the two for you so you can observe the pros and cons of each, and make a wise decision for your car.

Car Tints vs Shades

Admittedly, both the options sound appealing enough and seem like they’ll do the job. They help stop the sunlight from getting in, give you sufficient privacy, and keep your car comfortable. What else is there to consider? Well, plenty of things. Here are some things that you must think of when weighing the two options to decide which one would be better for you and your car.

Installation

Car shades win by a large margin when it comes to installation. Putting up car shades is the simplest thing in the world, and even a child could manage to prop and secure the shades against the windows. However, car tints cannot possibly be installed at home. They have to be professionally done at car tinting place. Thought it might be a little more hassle getting them installed, professionally installed tints are far superior in quality and are not easily damaged or removed.

Variety and Choices

Tints come in all shades and types. There are dyed window tints if you want a significantly darker tint for privacy and sun protection, while hybrid tints are lighter and allow more visibility. Tints come in all sorts of qualities, and shades so you can have some say in what you want to get. Car shades, on the other hand, are well… car shades. The quality of the materials can differ, but besides that, there isn’t much that differs.

Safety and Functionality

Though car shades work just fine when it comes to blocking out some sunlight to make you feel more comfortable and give a moderate level of privacy, there is not much else they can do. Car tints, on the other hand, actually block the UV rays of the sun and protect the driver from sun damage while driving. In that sense, car tints are far more effective and safer in what they do.

If you want to get car tints installed for your car, you must go to the best tint installers in town to ensure that only the best tints are used and are installed perfectly. Car Tint Pros has a variety of tinting options you can choose from, and we guarantee quality work always.
